PGR fieldwork/archival research fund for first year PhD students studying Social Anthropology at St Andrews
The Department of Social Anthropology and the Ladislav Holy Memorial Trust have launched a new initiative: to fund fieldwork/archival research expenses submitted by first year PhD students studying in the Department of Social anthropology.
The initiative comprises two separate funds of £1000 each: 1) that supported by the Department; 2) that supported by the Holy Trust. Students should apply to whichever fund best suits their needs. The Department scheme will fund numerous candidates for relatively limited claims for travel and research expenses; the Holy Trust is happy to accept applications for larger grants submitted by one – or perhaps in some cases two – candidate(s) planning overseas fieldwork. The application process for each scheme is laid out in the accompanying notes for each scheme.
