Conference Fund

The Trust makes grants on a periodic basis to currently employed members of academic staff and registered research postgraduates in the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of St Andrews in order to support the organisation of research conferences and workshops. Specifically, grants are awarded by the Trust to meet staff conference expenses (such as travel costs of invited speakers and other associated outgoings), and to meet similar expenses for postgraduate workshops. The aim of the Trust is to be able to support a regular series of research workshops and conferences whose aim is to examine methodological and theoretical issues within the discipline. The Trust does not award grants to workshops or conferences that are focused solely on regional issues.
